Bifaces (Hand axes) are almond-shaped tools, formed on both sides. They have a sharpened point and a generally round base with a symmetry not necessary for their function. They are considered to be a spectacular invention by Homo Erectus. The beauty of some of these Bifaces is too much evident to not have been desired by their creators.
